The historic Elysées Lincoln cinema in Paris has been reborn through a vibrant renovation led by architect Louis Denavaut. At a time when independent cinemas across Europe are disappearing, the project introduces a bold new identity built around color, texture, and atmosphere. Pastel tones, velvet surfaces, and precise geometries evoke a subtle Wes Anderson–like sensibility, transforming the venue into a contemporary cultural and social space.

A New Identity for the Elysées Lincoln Cinema
Louis Denavaut reimagines Elysées Lincoln as a hybrid space where cinema, events, and social gatherings coexist. Rather than relying on conventional luxury, the renovation focuses on creating distinct emotional environments. The project unfolds through three interior worlds—L’Audito, Le Studio, and Le Club—each treated like a different film genre, with its own rhythm, palette, and spatial character.
This approach reinforces the idea that independent cinemas can survive by offering experiences that feel specific, immersive, and sensorially rich.

Three Chromatic Worlds Inside Elysées Lincoln
As part of Paris’s Multiciné network, Elysées Lincoln now operates as both an art-house cinema and an event venue. The renovation reorganizes the building into three spatial typologies: a large auditorium, an intimate screening room, and a flexible lounge space. Technical upgrades—including 4K laser projection, a catering office, and a customizable LED facade—support this expanded program.
In L’Audito, deep olive-green velvet seating sits within walls patterned in muted pink harlequin motifs. Botanical carpets and sculptural black speakers create an enveloping, slightly retro atmosphere designed to calm and focus the viewer before the film begins. Subtle LED lighting washes the lower walls, giving the room a floating, theatrical quality.
Pastel Curves and Social Spaces at Elysées Lincoln
Le Studio immerses visitors in hot pinks and reds, forming a monolithic yet intimate chamber for small screenings or private gatherings. Plush magenta seating softens the intensity, balancing comfort with visual impact.
The third space, Le Club, is bathed in baby-pink tones and defined by arches, rounded niches, and circular light fixtures. A sculptural wall of circular relief panels echoes speaker cones, while reflective surfaces catch soft lighting and introduce warm, golden highlights. Designed to shift easily between cocktail events and seated gatherings, the room emphasizes sociability and flexibility.
Together, these three environments position Elysées Lincoln as more than a cinema—it becomes a destination shaped by mood, texture, and shared experience.
